School Presentations: Crack Open A Book's school presentations may be adapted and used to engage children once a day, week, or month. Up to six lessons, like "Kindness takes Courage" and "Tiptoe to Health" are available. Despite the serious topic the program is fun for children, encourages dialogue, and offers an assortment of hands-on enrichment activities inspired by the characters in the book.

Amelia has established and marketed a successful publishing company and is happy to share her story with children or adults interested in learning what it takes to create, write, and market a children's book in today's world.

She is working on her next book idea and always appreciates comments and advice from her student audiences. She calls these author visits Guiana Pig Parties.

She is also available for teacher's workshops or in-service days.

No Cost Meet the Author Visit: 10-15 minutes.

In-Depth Visit Length: 20 minutes to 2 hours. Up to six, 20-30 minute visits once a day, week, or month may qualify as one in-depth visit. This way students visit the author each day and talk about the lesson they will be doing or have already done.

In-Depth Visit Cost: Free! With the purchase of 10 or more books.($9.95) Arrangements can also be made to use this book as an event or classroom fundraiser. You can earn 10% of all book sales. Ask author for details.

Prerequisites: Depends on the type of presentation. Prior to author school visits a PowerPoint presentation and information for teachers will be sent to the school.
