Presentations:Along with Andrew's writing partner and co-author, Adam Jay Epstein, the authors/screenwriters will discuss the history of familiars in literature, film, and popular culture; talk about how they came up with the idea for THE FAMILIARS and how they come up with ideas in general; discuss writing together as a team; talk about how they are adapting their book into a 3D animated feature film (currently in production at Sony Animation) and the differences between writing books and films; and we'll take Questions and Answers.

In a slightly longer version of the presentation, we'll lead the group in an interactive writing exercise, whereby we create a Familiar Story together. Through a process of questions and answers, we'll show students how we write together as a team and create a story of our own!
