Frankie the Walk 'N Roll Dog is a true, inspirational story about my dachshund, Frankie, who suffered a spinal injiruy. She was custom-fitted for a wheelchair. Frankie persevered, and I realized the beautiful opportunity I had to share Frankie with others, especially children. Frankie gives children hope that they too can do anything they set their minds to do, despite any challenges they face.

Frankie, the Walk 'N Roll Therapy Dog Visits Libby's HouseIndie Excellence Winner
Frankie the Walk ‘N Roll Dog keeps rolling along in her doggie wheelchair. This paralyzed dachshund’s unabashed healing, exuberant spirit, and spunky personality is a blessed gift to everyone she befriends. In this true, inspirational story, Frankie tells how she became a registered therapy dog and shares her visits to Libby’s House, a senior facility where many residents have Alzheimer’s or dementia. Frankie teaches us that patience, listening, and understanding opens our hearts to what matters most—love.

Frankie the Walk 'N Roll Dog Activity Workbook
Frankie further expands on her message in this 28-page activity book that overcoming a challenge can be done by having a positive attitude. Presentations:
My presentation includes a PowerPoint which once you have booked a visit with us, I will email to you. Please understand the PowerPoint is not to be shared with anyone else, except for the use of our virtual visit.
Presentation will include introduction of Frankie, how she injured herself and suffered paralysis and how she presevers in her dog cart (wheelchair)! I also do a selected reading which outlines what Frankie went through and how she came through all of it with a positive attitude.
I demonstrate how Frankie gets in and out of her doggie wheelchair, as well as the physical and swim therapy she went through.
Frankie's message teaches kids compassion, not judging others, patience, kindness, overcoming their own challenges by having a positive attitude and instilling in them that they can do anything they set their minds to do... no matter what obstacles they may have. The PowerPoint of slides show kids that despite Frankie being in a wheelchair, she lives a very full, happy life... just like they can!!

We really enjoyed our Skype session with Frankie and Barbara! Barbara did an excellent job of keeping the kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms engaged for over 30 minutes -- not an easy thing to do :) The students loved seeing Frankie and learning all about how she has overcome the odds! In addition, they loved their signed books from Frankie and Barbara which promptly arrived after we ordered them. I'd HIGHLY recommend this session!!!
