Presentations: I currently offer three presentations:
Making Chocolate Cookies – How MODELS went from being a short story to a full novel. I explain my writing process, show the steps I went through during some of the book’s thirteen (!) revisions, and discuss how perseverance can make your dreams come true. This presentation is appropriate for a range of ages and both genders.

Shakespeare is NOT a Total Tragedy – We’ll have a brief talk about Shakespeare—his biography and what he wrote—and why I chose to have Hamlet’s family so obsessed with him. Then we'll talk about the themes and characters in the novel.

Bullying, Body Image, and Mean Girls – This talk revolves around some of the themes in MODELS DON’T EAT CHOCOLATE COOKIES. Using Celeste (MODELS’ main character) as an example, we discuss her choices, decisions and the steps she took to feel better about herself. Ideal for all-girl audiences who have read the book.

I am also willing to do customizable presentations that fit your curriculum and what you're discussing in the books.

Audiences: Ideally, 4th grade and up.
