Details: Casey and Bella is a book series based on two real dogs: Casey, a Jack Russell Terrier, and Bella a Yorkie. Each Casey and Bella book teaches positive lessons, and each year a child becomes a published author through the Casey and Bella Writing Contest.

Presentations: 15-20 minute session: Q & A on the Casey and Bella Writing Contest. Each year 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders get to decide where Casey and Bella should go on their next adventure. The winner's story becomes published as the next book in the Casey and Bella book series. www.CaseyandBella.com

In-depth session: 45 minutes, 2 different sessions for K-2 and 3-5 grade.
K-2 I focus on the lessons in each book. Then I introduce the real Casey and Bella characters who inspired the book series.
3-5 I discuss writing and how to get a book published and discuss the Casey and Bella Writing Contest for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.

Author visit also includes a reading of one of the following books:
Casey and Bella Go to New York City, Casey and Bella Go to Hollywood, or Casey and Bella Go Green

No Cost Meet the Author Visit: 10-15 minutes

In-Depth Visit Length: 45 minutes

In-Depth Visit Cost: No Cost for any Casey and Bella author visits.

Prerequisites: Each school I visit gets a free set of Casey and Bella books for the school's library to help students prepare for the event. Since I do not charge an honorarium or a fee for any author my short and in-depth author visits, I ask schools to promote the sale of my books through the Casey and Bella School Order form.
