What type of classroom related problems have other authors had concerning Skype. The largest problem I have found has been the teachers fear of Skyping.

For 17 years, I have made my way around schools throughout the US, doing it the hard way, plane, train, or automobile. The best part of doing an on-site author visits is the energy of the students and teachers. It can't be replaced. On the other hand, I have also been doing Videoconferencing and Distant Learning programs for the last eleven years, and there is something to say about the ease and enjoyment of being in your own studio/office and inviting hundreds of students per hour into your writing space. It can be very enjoyable and great fun. There is a place for Videoconferencing and SKYPE in education.
