I talk about the purpose of the imagination, writing a story by asking "What If?", how I became a writer, and the ideas that sparked my book. I enjoy engaging students as much as possible and try to leave a lot of time for questions so that the students' interests can guide the conversation. I can also do a reading from The Rise & Fall of Mount Majestic.

Audiences: 3rd - 6th grade, but will adapt for any audience. I prefer smaller groups (fewer than 20) to allow for easy interaction.

Prerequisites: Students and teachers will get the most out of the visit if they have read the book in advance and prepared questions.
