In-Depth Visit Length: 45-60 minutes
In-Depth Visit Cost: $75 for an hour's visit. If more than one hour (e.g. more than one classroom) per school, additional hour costs can be negotiated. Can either do visits via Skype or Livestream.
Prerequisites: Author visits are most valuable if students are familiar with an author's work. Students should have read at least one of Lea Wait's books before her visit, and have prepared some questions for her. (She does not have to see these ahead of time.) If a visit with Lea is scheduled, the school involved may purchase any number of her books at a discount directly from Simon & Schuster. Contact Lea for details. She would also be happy to personalize and sign bookplates for any school staff members or students who have purchased copies of her books. For no additional cost, she also strongly suggests a "test run" of Skype system to be used at least 2 hours (preferably a day) before the visit, to make sure all systems are working.
