Her latest published middle-grade novel, Truth and Salsa, is a coming-of-age story set in the colonial Mexican town where she lives most of the year. Linda has won many awards and honors for her multi-cultural books about ecology, adventure and social issues for children. Two of her favorites are the books about Aunt Clara Brown, an ex-slave who became a Colorado pioneer during the Gold Rush. She is currently working on a screenplay about Clara Brown's amazing and inspiring life. Also a journalist, Linda is a former cultural columnist and features contributor to the Miami Herald - Mexico edition. She has collaborated with her husband Richard Keep on several books. They divide their time between San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico and Boulder, Colorado, and Skype regularly with classrooms around the world. |
