Ready to take a fairy tale, twist it around, toss in elements of comedy, action, and drama, and then use it to find and hone your writing voice? We’ll explore plot, character, and description, and discover what makes your stories uniquely yours.

Lipstick, Revolvers, & Flying Leprechauns: Writing Genre Fiction (Grades 7-12)
Realistic characters, tight plots, spine-tingling suspense, dimensional descriptions and comedic elementsthese are the hallmarks of great writing and unforgettable stories.
In this presentation, we'll work together and figure the elements of the different genres, from fantasy to romance. We’ll put it together with the ins and outs of the story framework: how to create realistic plots, 3-D characters, and descriptions that put and keep the reader in the moment. Lastly, we’ll talk about tricks of the trade and how to take a story from desktop to publication.

He Said, She Said: Collaborating and Writing a Story (Kindergarten - Grade 3)
This presentation helps kids learn the main points of a story: the beginning, middle, and end. Using group collaboration, we’ll write a story and learn the basics of plotting, character development, and description.
