I've written about and spoken about dreams for more than twenty years. My first children's book about dreams, Sleeping and Dreaming (Childrens Press), written in the early 1990's, still elicits mail from students. Kids love to explore their dreams!
In my latest book, Dream Share, (Rose Heart Publishers; www.roseheartbooks.com) I use a shared "dream" experience to explore paranormal realms. I know from my work as a therapist that kids want and need reliable information about the paranormal, so In Dream Share I have a non-fiction "Story Behind the Story" section to address the paranormal elements brought out in the Dream Share middle-grade novel. Dreams can be used to discover answers to questions, find solutions to problems. receive creativity and valuable insights. We need to teach kids how to take advantage of this valuable asset called dreams!
At DreamShareBook.com kids can learn more about dreams and other paranormal topics and they can take part in a Book Club, enter contests, and much more. Students (and their classmates) can also take part in a real Dream Research Project! Parent groups would be welcomes as sponsors! Email me for details at rita@ritamilios.com
