My award-winning picture books One Wolf Howls and Big Cat, Little Kitty, are for children ages 3 to 9. One Wolf Howls received the Silver Nautilus Book Award and was named a Maryland Blue Crab Honor Book. It was also selected for the Kansas National Education Association Reading Circle catalog of recommended books and the National Environmental Education Foundation's "Green Reading List." Big Cat, Little Kitty received a Mom's Choice Gold Award.
My picture book On the Move -- about mass migration of animals in North America -- will be published by Sylvan Dell Publishing in 2013.

Presentations: My Skype appearances can be centered on the writing process associated with one of my published books and/or on my experiences as a writer in general. I am happy to read excerpts from my books (or an entire picture book), and I encourage audience participation.
Audiences: I offer different presentations for different age-groups, from Kindergarten through High School.
Available Times: I work out of my home office, and my schedule is very flexible.
No recording of Skype Sessions without permission from the author.
No Cost Meet the Author Visit: 10-15 minutes
In-Depth Visit Length: 30-45 minutes
In-Depth Visit Cost: $50-$100 for up to 3 groups of children
Prerequisites: For all visits, I require that the audience be familiar with at least one of my books. For in-depth visits, I need to have a signed contract in hand before the visit takes place.
