Presentations: Varies according to needs of students. Possible presentations:
- Reading and book talk (K-1). I'll do a reading (or two!) and talk about the book(s).
- Author Q & A (Grades 2 and up; recommended that students have read at least one book and have questions written out in advance).
- Writing is fun! Various kinds of writing for kids; poetry, riddle-writing, songs, story, non-fiction (Grades 2-5). Discussion on various ways kids can write for school, fun and recreation.
Available Times: Mon-Fri, Times Flexible, but keep in mind I'm on Pacific Standard Time.
No recording of Skype Sessions without permission from the author.
No Cost Meet the Author Visit: 10 minutes
In-Depth Visit Length: K-1: 20-30 mins; Grades 2 and up, 30-40 minutes.
In-Depth Visit Cost: K-1/$100; Grades 2-5/$150.
Book Orders: 20% discount given on book orders. Pass the savings onto your students or have a school fundraiser! Autographed books make for a more memorable author visit and of course, encourage a child to read! I can sell books directly to the school, and will autograph to insure that students receive their own signed copy. If your school prefers to work with a local bookseller, I can send autographed book plates.
Prerequisites: Students must have read at least one of my books to familiarize themselves with my work.
