Presentations: I'm a teacher & author. I've taught for nearly 10 years & approach my 13th year as a trained group-facilitator & Conflict Resolution specialist. With that in mind, my Skype Sessions are aimed to leave groups & persons feeling electrified, more informed, & more empowered. As a former reluctant reader, I love sharing: 1. the strategies that navigated me to being an ALA Quick Pick author & 2. the tools I use to engage avid readers & excite reluctant readers. I'm regularly invited to speak on on my novel's themes: The struggle to be the real you; Friends; Family; Bullying; School-life; Benefits/power of reading & writing; The emotional lives of teens; Turning boys into better men; Being bi-racial or multi-ethnic; & Being second or first generation American.
