Evelyn Coleman is an extremely gracious lady and connects so easily with the students. My book club of 7th and 8th grade students LOVED the experience of talking with Mrs. Coleman. They were impressed and inspired by her dedication to creating realistic characters in a place and time period that required a great deal of research and interviews of people that were a part of the real life happenings depicted in her book Freedom Train. I highly recommend Mrs. Coleman as an author that writes stories that need to be read and that will provide an enriching experience for your students when you Skype with her. 1  out of 1 found this valuable.
